Rodney Edge
Rodney’s musical gifts were first noticed at age 2 when he started playing drums. By age 5, he had developed the ability to play acoustic guitar while listening to the radio. Piano and bass guitar abilities soon followed by ages 7, along with a knack for recognizing and playing vocal melodies and harmonies in church by age 9.

Exum's musical interests were started by his uncle, Larry Francis, Jr., also a saxophonist who had played in the Ft. Carson, CO army bands, and his mother's vast record collection which featured such jazz heavyweights as Jeff Lorber, George Howard, Charlie Parker, and Najee, to name a few.
